October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month—an annual international pink campaign to unite people in the fight against Breast Cancer. Major breast cancer charities join forces with organizations and brands alike to fund projects to research prevention, treatments and cure.
Breast cancer affects so many of us in one way or another. Most of us know someone—a family member, a friend, a coworker—who has battled with the pervasive disease. Approximately one in eight women in the US will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer—that’s 113 people every day, and that needs to stop.
That’s why it’s so important to provide a community of support to all those affected and to raise awareness and spread education on the importance of early screening and checks.
“At By Lilla, we’re a women-run company, so women’s health is a topic that comes up all the time. We’re fortunate enough to have access to information and regular health checks, which are the necessary steps to help prevention. We want to give back and raise awareness to ensure that all women have the same opportunities to detect, diagnose and determine treatments to combat Breast Cancer.” —Michelle Finvarb, Co-Founder of By Lilla
By Lilla was created for girls—to give an edge to boring black hair elastics, and become stylishly vibrant hair accessories. But our mission goes far beyond this. We want our #LillaGirls to feel good as they do good.
That’s why we launched our THINK PINK stack. Our effort to get our girls involved in raising awareness and funds for such a worthwhile cause. Stock up on By Lilla for Breast Cancer Awareness Month to help Susan G. Komen beat breast cancer on multiple fronts—research, community, health, global outreach and public policy initiatives in order to make the biggest impact against the disease.
With the purchase of your THINK PINK stack, we will donate 10% of all proceeds to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization.
